I just wanted to post here and quickly tell all of you who are participating on the forum right now that I appreciate you very much! This place is very new, but we’ve already had some extremely good (and very civil) discussions.
Even before I became a professional journalist, I’ve always believed that a good feedback loop with your audience is worth a lot. Unlike many of my colleagues, I don’t have a general disdain for my readership and listeners. I have a general disdain for humanity, but I’ve often found that the people reading and listening to my stuff are by far the smartest of the bunch and I hope I can keep it that way.
Anyway, this is just to say that I appreciate you and your time and that I am thankful for the feedback on my work. And also for being my internet friends. That is extremely important to me, too!
