Well this might change my mind when I eventually pull the trigger on a new GPU.
Currently the open driver is not supported by my ageing 1050ti. The exact same version closed source driver works fine but they have not deemed it necessary to include it in the open driver. I have sent a support request see where that goes.
I had originally decided on AMD GPU due to their open drivers, and they were slightly cheaper, whilst showing some decent performance.
Now they might both be in contention.
